What's the story behind your artwork?
Seen through the window of a longhouse, this artwork breathes life into Sarawakian folklore. Mount Santubong rises at the center, flanked by two legendary sisters—Puteri Santubong on the left, her woven fabric flowing outward, and Puteri Sejinjang on the right, with paddy sprouting from her. Between them, the Raja Brooke's Birdwing butterfly flutters gently. Scattered islands—Pulau Kerak, Satang, Talang-Talang, and Lakir—mark Sejinjang's shattered form. Above, the Sarawak DUN stands watch as the Rhinoceros Hornbill soars. A Terabai and Sape frame the kampung house, grounded by a famous Iban motto: "Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban"—"As long as there's breath, keep fighting."
